We are delighted to welcome you to Fareham Academy. We are a thriving 11-16 mixed Academy, set on a well-resourced and self-contained site that is set truly at the heart of its community. We are a caring and forward-thinking school, where academic achievement and the personal development of each child go hand in hand. Our motto ‘Unlocking Potential – Creating Opportunity’ supported by
our ‘Kindness’ ethos captures the ambition we have for all our students.
We are a ‘Good’ Academy with “Outstanding” features, where truly inclusive learning comes first. We work exceptionally hard to offer our students the best possible educational opportunities and unlock the potential in every child.
We have high expectations in relation to behaviour and uniform; central to this is how students communicate with each other, our staff, and members of the wider community. Our school ethos is Kindness and we strive to cultivate a desire for learning and self-improvement so that students leave the Academy as well mannered, confident and culturally rich individuals.
Our Academy is a friendly, vibrant and exciting place to learn. We believe that all children are individuals and we offer a broad and balanced curriculum that reflects their diverse needs, whilst supporting them through the care of our outstanding pastoral team. We work in close partnership with our parents, as well as promoting student voice through our passionate and committed Student Leadership Team.

Our Background
Fareham Academy opened its doors on 1st September 2013, replacing its predecessor school, Neville Lovett Community School. At Fareham Academy we have high aspirations for all of our students, and following another successful year of examination results, we are continuing our drive to become an Outstanding school.

Our Aims at Fareham Academy

Ofsted judged us as a
‘Good School’
in February 2016
Ofted stated that Fareham Academy is a Good school. Many outstanding features were identified and the leadership of the school was seen to be strategic and well placed to continue to move the school forward.
