Student Voice
Empowering Our Students' Voices
At Fareham Academy, Student Voice is valued and encouraged. Students are able to interact with up-to-date news stories and relevant Personal Development Learning (PDL) topics through our inclusion of Voice 21 and Votes for Schools in the Tutor Time programme.
Our Votes for Schools programme allows students to debate and vote alongside hundreds of other schools up and down the country, and also allows them to see how other young people their age think.
Students provide termly feedback on a variety of topics via Tutor Time surveys which are presented to our Senior Leadership Team via our Student Leadership Team. Our Student Leadership Team, in turn, deliver this feedback to our wider student body in Tutor Time.
Students are encouraged to complete their leadership stage badges from Year 7, and have the opportunity to become a House Captain in Year 9 and a Prefect or member of the Student Leadership Team in Year 11.
Student Contextual Safeguarding Questionnaires
On of the many ways we enable our students to have their voices heard is by responding to our contextual safeguarding questionnaires.
