Last term, our Eco Club students explored ways to make a positive impact on the environment. They each made a personal pledge, writing their promises on leaves to highlight small but meaningful actions—such as turning off lights, recycling, and using reusable cutlery and cups to reduce plastic waste.

Following this, students engaged in thought-provoking debates on key environmental topics, including:

  • The impact of veganism vs. carnivorism

  • Individual responsibility vs. systemic change in tackling climate issues

  • Whether AI is harming or helping the environment

To round off the term, students researched seasonal planting and companion planting, each selecting a vegetable to study. Their findings will guide our plans for the Eco Garden as we prepare for planting in the coming months.

A fantastic effort from all involved—we look forward to seeing the Eco Garden take shape!
