Student Success
We'd like to share some fantastic news from one of our Year 9 students, Faye M, who recently competed at the Sparkle 2025 Dance Competition. Alumni Spotlight: Sekoula Varea
After leaving Fareham Academy in 2020, Sekoula attended HSDC to study Law. However, she soon discovered that her true interests lay elsewhere. During her school years, she had already been actively involved in supporting a family-run shipping business from the age of 14, which specialised in sending commercial goods back to Fiji. Christmas Dinner
As we approach the festive season, our catering team Aspens are getting ready to serve our students a festive menu on Wednesday 17th December! Students can choose from Roast Turkey with Sticky Chipolata and Stuffing or a Roasted Veg, Cranberry and Cheese Puff Pastry Wreath, both served with a Veg Medley, Roasties and Gravy. Alumni Spotlight: Remy Rees-Dottin
After leaving Fareham Academy in 2022, Remy was offered a professional contract with AFC Bournemouth, where he continues to play and has recently signed a new two-year deal. His notable achievements include making his Premier League debut away at St James’ Park and his FA Cup debut against West Bromwich Albion. Remembrance Service 2025
This morning, Fareham Academy’s staff and students gathered for our annual Remembrance Service to honour our veterans and current servicemen and servicewomen. After leaving Fareham Academy in 2019, Emily attended Bay House Sixth Form, where she studied French, Spanish and Psychology. Golden Ticket Attendance Competition (Half Term 1)
In our continuing efforts to encourage better student attendance, our Golden Ticket Attendance Competition took place before the October half term. Students who achieved 96% or above attendance in Half Term 1 received a golden ticket, which they were able to exchange for a chocolate bar after school. Additionally, students with 100% attendance were entered into a draw for each year group. Names were drawn from a hat, and one lucky student from each year group won a £10 vouche

After leaving Fareham Academy in 2019, William attended CEMAST, where he achieved D* D* D* in a Level 3 Extended Diploma in Aeronautical Engineering. He then went on to study at the University of Brighton, recently completing his Master’s degree (MEng) in Aeronautical Engineering in May 2025. Year 7 Girls’ Football Achievement
A huge congratulations to our Year 7 Girls’ Football Team, who came second in the EFL Portsmouth FC Cup last week — an amazing result, especially as they were playing against all Year 8 teams! 👏 The girls battled through six tough group games, winning three, drawing one, and losing two, before defeating Horndean 2–1 in the semi-final, a team that had won the tournament for the past three years! Restart a Heart Day
In honour of Restart a Heart Day, a global initiative aimed at educating people on how to deliver CPR, we were pleased to welcome the South Central Ambulance Service to Fareham Academy today. Our Year 8 students took part in a hands-on workshop, learning vital skills such as how to respond in an emergency, administer CPR, use a defibrillator, and place someone in the recovery position. Black History Month
This October, the Academy has come together to honour and celebrate Black History Month through creativity, learning, and reflection. Year 11 Southampton International Boat Show Visit
