A special day for our Year 11 students as they celebrated their Leavers Day. After last week's assembly and shirt signing, it was a chance to mark the end of an important chapter and celebrate the friendships, achievements, and memories made along the way. Mr Edwards Memorial Cup 2026
This year's Mr Edwards Memorial Cup was another fantastic occasion, bringing together students, staff and supporters for an enjoyable afternoon of football. Congratulations to the Year 11 team, who were crowned champions of the 2026 Mr Edwards Memorial Cup. Both teams represented themselves and the Academy brilliantly, demonstrating excellent effort, determination and sportsmanship throughout the event. Our new Head and Deputy Head Prefects have been confirmed! Barcelona Trip 2026
Day 1 - Friday 20th March Students departed from Fareham Academy and travelled to Gatwick Airport for their flight to Barcelona, arriving at El Prat de Llobregat Airport. Upon arrival, they transferred by coach to the hotel, where they dropped off their luggage before heading out to explore the local area. Dance Live!
On Tuesday 10th February, we took 50 students to Ther Portsmouth Guildhall where they competed against different schools around Hampshire for Dance Live! The students worked incredibly hard to prepare and rehearse the choreography for a dance based upon a world where musical notes come to life, sending a message of appreciation for music and the way it makes us feel. RAK Day: Resilience

Alumni Spotlight: Sekoula Varea
After leaving Fareham Academy in 2020, Sekoula attended HSDC to study Law. However, she soon discovered that her true interests lay elsewhere. During her school years, she had already been actively involved in supporting a family-run shipping business from the age of 14, which specialised in sending commercial goods back to Fiji. As we approach the festive season, our catering team Aspens are getting ready to serve our students a festive menu on Wednesday 17th December! Alumni Spotlight: Remy Rees-Dottin
After leaving Fareham Academy in 2022, Remy was offered a professional contract with AFC Bournemouth, where he continues to play and has recently signed a new two-year deal. After leaving Fareham Academy in 2019, Emily attended Bay House Sixth Form, where she studied French, Spanish and Psychology. Golden Ticket Attendance Competition (Half Term 1)
In our continuing efforts to encourage better student attendance, our Golden Ticket Attendance Competition took place before the October half term. Students who achieved 96% or above attendance in Half Term 1 received a golden ticket, which they were able to exchange for a chocolate bar after school. Additionally, students with 100% attendance were entered into a draw for each year group. Names were drawn from a hat, and one lucky student from each year group won a ยฃ10 vouche
