We recently recognised Men’s Health Week UK here at Fareham Academy, with a special focus on men’s mental health.
Men’s Health Week is an important opportunity to raise awareness about the challenges many men face when it comes to mental wellbeing. For young people and their families, it’s a chance to start conversations, break down stigma, and encourage open, supportive dialogue around mental health, especially for boys and young men who may find it difficult to speak up.
At school and at home, it’s vital that we all work together to create an environment where everyone feels safe to talk about how they’re feeling and to ask for help when they need it.
Let’s use this time to check in with one another, encourage kindness, and remind ourselves and others that it’s okay to not be okay, and help is always available.
