Mr Edwards Memorial Cup

On Thursday 8th May, staff and students will be gathering on the school playing field to watch the annual Mr Edwards Memorial Cup. The memorial cup takes place every year to remember Mr Edwards and his incredible work during his time at the Academy.

Two teams of students will be playing against each other, with our Year 10 students playing as Tottenham Hotspur and our Year 11 students playing as Stoke City. The game will take place during Period 5 of the school day, with kick-off at 1.45pm.

It will be a non-uniform day for all students, with a voluntary donation of £1. The money raised will go towards the Mind charity and will be collected during tutor time on the day.

We encourage students to support either team by wearing the colours of their chosen team! Supporters of the Year 10 team should wear blue, and supporters of the Year 11 team should wear red or white.
