On Tuesday we hosted our second 'Aspiration' RAK Day of the year, focusing on developing students' knowledge and understanding of various topics to help them make educated, informed, and safe choices for the future. We welcomed a variety of visitors, including the British Army, Fareham College, University of Portsmouth, Southern Universities Network, and RS Divers Ltd. who spoke to our students about career-related attributes and different post-16 career options and pathways.

Our Year 7s faced the challenge of building the strongest bridge, learned about the environment, explored "Careers for Change" and got involved with the upkeep and maintenance of our Eco Garden.

Year 8 enjoyed a career talk from a local diving company about diving careers and opportunities in the Solent and beyond. They also learned about apprenticeships, the role of Parliament and voting systems, and experienced future technology by visiting the Tech Truck!

Year 9 had various sessions to support their transition into Key Stage 4, focusing on study skills, resilience, and wellbeing. They explored apprenticeships and further education options with the University of Portsmouth, learned how to boost their study skills with the Southern Universities Network, and enjoyed a career presentation from the Army, also participating in their skills lab activities.

Year 10 focused on looking to the future and developing their employability skills. Students covered CV writing, debating, and various study techniques to help them prepare for their upcoming mock exams.

A big thank you to all our visitors and staff for guiding our students with such informative and engaging sessions!
