At Fareham Academy, we’re proud to celebrate the incredible mix of cultures that make up our school community!

Tomorrow is World Cultural Diversity Day, and at the Academy students will be taking part in a range of exciting activities to celebrate the day, including:

  • Cultural enrichment lessons

  • A cultural food sale and competition (supporting Refugee Crisis Aid UK)

  • Cultural foods in the canteen

  • Henna hand designs at lunch (permission slip required)

  • Cultural dress – students may wear clothing that represents their culture and be ready to share its significance with their tutor group.

Please note: This is not a free dress day. All students not wearing cultural attire should be in full uniform as usual, as Year 11 exams are taking place.

Food sale competition entry: If you would like to enter, please bake/cook a cultural dish that can be sold for a donation to Refugee Crisis Aid UK. You must provide a full ingredients list and please do not use nuts. Entries can be brought up to E1 during tutor time. They will be judged, and the winner will receive a £10 Amazon voucher.

Let’s come together to learn, celebrate, and embrace the wonderful diversity that makes Fareham Academy such a vibrant place to be!
