Day 1 - Friday 20th March Students departed from Fareham Academy and travelled to Gatwick Airport for their flight to Barcelona, arriving at El Prat de Llobregat Airport. Upon arrival, they transferred by coach to the hotel, where they dropped off their luggage before heading out to explore the local area. Day 1 Day one of the Year 8 and 9 Barcelona trip was a huge success! After checking into their rooms at the Urbany Hostel this afternoon, the students walked to Westfield Glòries where they enjoyed some free time and stopped for lunch. They then headed back to their hostel rooms to chill out for a bit after a very early morning, before hopping on the Metro and heading into the centre of town to explore La Rambla; one of Barcelona's most famous streets!
